Colon Cancer Cells On The Move

The colon cancer cell at the top is moving from right to left. The cell's actin (in white) is reaching out for new footholds. But the cell in the bottom picture has been treated with a chemical that disorganizes the actin, so the cell can no longer move. If a similar inhibition could be produced without toxic side-effects, it might be used as an anti-cancer treatment.
